The German Association for Central Asia (GAFCA) is a non-profit organization that promotes cultural exchange, information, cooperation, and solidarity between Germany and the countries of Central Asia. The association was established by individuals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds who share a connection to both Germany and Central Asia.
GAFCA’s main objective is to collaborate with local communities, particularly in Afghanistan, on an equal footing, to enhance their livelihoods through sustainable joint initiatives. Another important goal is to increase awareness and promote international understanding of Central Asian cultures and issues in Germany. To achieve these objectives, GAFCA emphasizes the importance of cultural understanding, mutual tolerance, and the willingness to learn from one another as essential elements of working and living together.
